Now people, is it really that hard to update your site? No! Of course not, it is one of the easiest things that can be done that will help out your site. Update your page at least weekly, and if you can update it every other day.

why should I?

A better question here would be, "Why shouldn't I?". Why should you not update your page at least weekly, or every other day? There is no excuse! Sure, if you are busy I can see you might not have time to do it, but if you are busy then you shouldn't have a page at all! If you plan on having a page, try to keep it new and fresh, so I don't see the same old thing every time I go to it.

Let's take a moment to think about this now. What would I go to more, a page updated daily or a page updated weekly? When you offer something new on your page every day, people will come back to your page daily. When you offer something new on your page every week, people will come back weekly! Pretty simple to figure out isn't it? Then why not update that page!? More updates, more hits, and most webmasters want the latter.

When it comes to web design, the small things really matter. That is why you should make at least a small update to your page every other day. No matter what type of update it is, if people know your page is updated often, they will come back to it often! I often enjoy going to sites that make small updates daily, just to see what "neat" little thing they added today.
