Omega has had some of the most important collections in watchmaking history and while the brand has a long history indeed it’s not resting on its laurels and is still producing the very best timepieces on the market.

The amazing Omega Speedmaster collection is the very definition of watch pedigree having been present on all NASA lunar missions. The technical abilities, durability, reliability and elegance of the watch has also made it one of the most popular in the brand’s history, being purchased in stores around the world.

Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon

The Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon continues the Speedmaster tradition of creating the very best possible watches while incorporating some delightful functions to give it that extra bit of flair a legendary watch should have.

The watch has an automatic movement making it as reliable as it is beautiful. The movement caliber is 9300 while the base caliber is the same. The case is made from high durability plastic and has a diameter of 44.25 mm and a thickness if 17 mm. While it can be considered a large watch, the design makes it fit perfectly on any size of wrist, from very small ones to quite large ones. The watch doesn’t need to perform under a lot of wet conditions and as such has waterproofing which goes only to 5 ATM or 50 meters.

The bezel is made from a ceramic material, which gives it a durable yet elegant aspect. The sapphire glass is scratch and glare proof, making the watch easy to read regardless of how sunny it gets as well as making it virtually indestructible. The dial is black, the main color of the entire watch, a detail which gives it an understated coolness. It also contains no numerals so the sleek black look basically runs through.

The bracelet is mater from ceramic material and comes in the same black coloring, giving a pleasant feel on the wrist while also contributing to the durability of the entire watch. The watch attaches to the wrist firmly and safely thanks to a fold clasp which is made from high-durability steel. Among the many functions of the watch you will also find a chronograph which is elegantly placed on the dial without taking up too much space and creating an uneven look. Other functions include small seconds, luminescent numerals and hands and a chronometer.

This amazing model is produced in a limited edition so any purchase is basically an investment, and when you consider Omega’s track record, you can bet it is a good investment.
