Eyesaw fontz offers a very nice collection of fonts for download on Mac and PC. Fonts on this site are divided up into three categories: handmade, readymade, and custommade. All of the fonts show a lot of creativity and are unlike fonts you will find anywhere else.
The Font Diner currently serves up 28 free fonts available for use on both Mac and PC. Fonts on the menu that caught my eye were spacearella, musicals, and stencil gothic. Click on "free silverware"!
FontFace.com, founded by Steve Young, is an excellent font depository with over 1000 fonts! All fonts are organized in alphabetical order. Each font listing contains a picture of the font in use and the option to download in PC, MAC or TTF formats. Two sections unique to FontFace are Top 25 Fonts and Font of The Day. Check this site out!
Fonthead Designs has a small but very nice selection of fonts for download. At this time, only 7 fonts are available for free but two of them are among my all-time favorite fonts. These are gooddog and spillmilk.
