Panerai Radiomir 1940 3 Days

The beauty of an outfit can be enhanced greatly with the right accessory. Watches have over the years proven to be an important part of the wardrobe that is not only useful for keeping time but highlighting elegance as well. Various watch makers have developed remarkable timepieces, the Panerai Radiomir 1940 3 Days being one of them. It is a popular timepiece that perfectly captures elegance, accuracy and full functionality. Only recently released to the market, the watch has already received worldwide attention, gaining popularity with watch lovers from every corner of the planet.

The dial of a watch is one of its most outstanding and important features. In the development of the watch, the designers have ensured to bring out beauty while maintaining its functional efficiency. The dial is elegantly punctuated with large and bold Arabic numerals with the exception of the 9 o’clock marker. The missing 9 is a design to allow for the inclusion of a relatively smaller seconds display. The dial is white in color and is not a sandwich dial. For visibility, the hands of the watch filled with a characteristic lume. The same lume used on the hands are used on the small dots at the top of the hour numerals. The numerals on the other hand are black in color and are printed right onto the white base. This gives the dial a higher contrast making it easier to read on a quick glance.

When choosing a watch, one of the features to importantly consider is the comfortability. Although the watch should be prominent for it to stand out, it needs to perch comfortably on the wrist of the wearer. The case of the watch has been created to ensure just this. Made of a solid stainless-steel material, the case measures 42mm in diameter. The case is cushion shaped to make it fit well on the wrists.  Its straight lugs and polished angles look well alongside its slim exterior.

The Panerai Radiomir 1940 3 Days is powered by a P.4000 caliber. This was the pilot automatic caliber to ever power a Radiomir 1940. It has a decentralized oscillating weight that allows it to come in at just 3.95mm of thickness. There is a balance bridge that secures the balance between two points for shock resistance. It offers 3 days of power reserve.

The watch comes with a Ecru 26/22.0 Standard. The strap is made of fine quality material to ensure that it looks amazing. It is also designed for comfort. Despite being soft, the strap is strong and can stand the tests of time.

The back of the Panerai Radiomir 1940 3 Days is made of a see-through sapphire crystal. It is also water resistant for up to a depth of 100 meters. It has a crown with a jagged edge for ease of use. Its bezel is polished steel and helps it stand out. For anyone looking for a gorgeous and efficient timepiece, this is definitely the go to watch.

Panerai Lo Scienziato

The Luminor 1950 Tourbillion is one of the most unique watches on the market. Built as an homage to Galileo Galilei, one of the most important figures in the history of the human kind, this watch shows not only the time, but also comes with multiple functions such as the power reserve indicator on the back and more. This is by far however, the least innovative thing about this model.

  1. Direct Metal Laser Sintering

This new technology was built with the purpose of reducing the weight of the case. We all know how much weight can influence a watch, which is why the Luminor 1950 was built using a 3D printer. The printer used powdered titanium and created layers of 0.02 millimeters each. Then, each layer was placed on top of each other, thus developing the structure you see now. This makes the entire watch much lighter and much easier to be carrier around. According to the official website, the new Luminor 1950 is around 35% lighter than previous models.

  1. The Skeletonized Look

One of the most interesting things about the Luminor 1950 is the skeletonized look which allows the user to see the mechanism behind the watch. No longer is the principle behind the watch hidden, everything is presented clearly and without any covers. The look also contributes to the light weight of the watch because the skeletonized pieces are no longer as heavy as in previous models. On top of that, the look is also rather unique.

  1. The Alligator Strap

The Alligator Strap is a great addition to this model because it perfectly complements the titanium pieces of the watch, while also being resistant to time. The official instructions recommend that you wash the strap and leave it somewhere to dry, but not on hot surfaces or in direct sun-rays because they may damage the straps. They must be left to dry for long periods of time, on their own, in order for the strap to last for a very long time.

On top of all these great new additions, the Luminor 1950 is water resistant, it comes with many functions that make it unique and it comes with a night view functions that makes the Arabic numbers stand out in a luminescent manner so that the numbers are easier to read in the dark. The Luminor 1950 is more than a fancy watch, it is an innovation, one that is bound to last for years to come.

Panerai Luminor 8-Days Left-Handed Manual Titanium

Issued in a limited edition of 1000 items on the occasion of SIHH 2011, Panerai Luminor 8-Days left-handed watch (ref. PAM00368) continues a tradition started by the Florentine watch making house in 1940. While this type of watches can be originally explained as a practical solution for divers who had to wear sophisticated equipment (compass, deapth measuring device, etc.) on their wrist, they are nowadays just a comfortable choice for those who prefer to wear their watch on the left hand.

The splendid brushed titanium case bears the classic Panerai format and its sapphire crystal back offers an impressive view over the P.2002 / 9 mechanical manual movement. At the same time, it enables wearers to check the remaining power reserve. The clasp that closes the old brown leather strap is also made of brushed titanium – a material that has been especially chosen for its lightness, strength and antiallergic properties.
